In this role I am responsible for all the Logistics and Supply Chain activities in the Water Technologies Department. Based in a 500 sq. meter warehouse for Distribution of Medical Devices, Equipment, Spare Parts and Consumables, with own and outsourced fleet, my main tasks are:  Management of daily operations: operational team, property, warehousing, stock, inventory, transportation and distribution;  Establishing and implementing logistics procedures in line with Organizational and External requirements;  Purchasing and related activities;  Billing of materials and services;  Complaints handling and customer service. Selected Highlights  At the end of the first two years all operational costs were cut in 1/3;  At the end of the first two years, was achieved stock reduction of 3/8;  Established the department logistics standards and KPI’s from the ground up, improving operation performance;  Sourced and evaluated performance of logistics and products providers making adjustments when required. Negotiated competitive costs, achieving savings of 20% after one year in the position;  Designed and implemented order fulfilment operation, including warehouse layout, achieving goal of 99% for order accuracy, order processing time, order fill rate and on-time delivery;  Completion of the licensing process for distribution of medical devices by Wholesale, within the INFARMED (Portuguese National authority of medicine and health products).
